Terms of Service

Last updated November 3, 2026. These terms are written in plain language. If anything is unclear, email hello@bitnode.tech.

1. Who we are

Bitnode Technologies ("Bitnode", "we", "us") provides IT services to businesses across the United States, remotely and with on-site visits by arrangement. Our sister company, Bitlogix Technologies, serves clients in Canada under its own terms at bitlogix.tech.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply when you use bitnode.tech and when we provide services to you. If you sign a quote, statement of work or service agreement with us, that document applies to the work it describes, and it takes priority over these terms where the two differ.

3. Using this website

  • The articles and guides on this site are general information, not legal, tax or technical advice for your specific situation. Ask us before acting on them for your business.
  • We may update or remove content at any time.
  • Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
  • Do not misuse the site, for example by trying to break into it, overload it or send spam through its forms.

4. Quotes and projects

  • The free IT assessment carries no cost and no obligation. We do not change your systems during it.
  • Projects are quoted in writing with a fixed scope and price. A quote is valid for the period stated on it.
  • Work starts only after you approve the quote in writing. If the scope changes, we quote the change before doing it.
  • Before any change that could interrupt your business, we agree on a time with you, document the rollback or recovery plan, and explain any steps that cannot be undone.

5. Ongoing support

Ongoing support runs under a written service agreement that sets out what is included, our response times, the monthly fee and the notice period for ending it. Our regular hours are weekday business hours, Pacific Time, with a 24/7 line for emergencies.

6. Payment

  • Prices and invoices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added where it applies.
  • Invoices are due within the payment terms shown on the invoice.
  • We add no margin to software or hardware and take no commissions or referral fees from vendors. You pay vendors' prices for products and our rates for our work.

7. Your systems, accounts and data

  • Your domains, admin accounts, licenses and data belong to you. We set them up in your business's name.
  • We use any access you give us only for the work you have asked for. You can remove our access at any time.
  • Unless backups are part of the service we provide to you, keeping copies of your own data is your responsibility.
  • Please give us accurate information and tell us about anything that could affect the work, such as other providers who also manage your systems.

8. Third-party products and services

Software, cloud services and hardware we recommend or set up, such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or Odoo, are provided by their vendors under the vendors' own terms, warranties and privacy policies. We are not responsible for a vendor's outage, price change or decision to discontinue a product, but we will help you deal with it.

9. Confidentiality and privacy

We keep information about your business confidential and use it only to provide our services. How we handle personal information is described on our privacy page. Where a law such as HIPAA requires a written agreement covering how we handle your data, we put that in place with you before we start.

10. Our work

We perform our services with reasonable care and skill, in line with accepted industry practice. No system can be made completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that your systems will never be attacked, fail or lose data. Apart from what these terms and your signed agreement say, and to the extent the law allows, we make no other promises or warranties, express or implied. If you believe something we did was not done as agreed, tell us promptly so we can put it right.

11. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the fees you paid us for the specific service involved in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost revenue or business interruption. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Ending our work together

You can end a project at the close of any stage, keep everything we have delivered, and pay for the work done to that point. Ongoing support ends under the notice period in your service agreement. When our work ends, we hand over your admin accounts, documentation and any credentials we hold, and then remove our own access.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Wyoming. If you are buying services as an individual, you keep any rights the law of your own state gives you that cannot be waived by contract. We would always rather talk first, so please contact us before taking formal action.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Changes do not affect a signed quote or service agreement already in place.
